About
Hi, I’m Alisha!
I’m a twenty-something self-proclaimed foodie.
I love to buy local food at farmer’s markets, cook every single day, and eat delicious (and nutritious) food.
I am always willing to try something new in the kitchen- I crave a good challenge! Experimenting helps keep things interesting for my taste buds.
I attended college at the University of Iowa
…..where I met my husband, Michael.
After nearly 6 years of dating, we got married on 6.23.2012
Four short weeks after our wedding, we relocated from southern Minnesota to a small town in northeast Ohio.
We love to be active- especially if it means we get to be outdoors. I enjoy hiking and Michael LIVES for fishing. Luckily, we can both be in the same park to pursue our favorite outdoor activities -despite the cold midwestern winters!
My relationship with food is constantly evolving and changing.
While eating late night pizza (pokey sticks, anyone?) and ramen noodles in college, I landed a job working at a local farmer’s market where my relationship with food changed forever. I began to learn where food really came from (you mean food doesn’t come from grocery stores?) and to appreciate it so much more. Since this life-changing moment I’ve found myself experimenting with new vegetables, spices and grains that I’d never even heard of before.
And now, I want to spread my love of food with others.
Follow me as I explore life in a new location as a newlywed with a love and passion for food, health, and fitness.
